Hello,
A message from AMAP St Simon that I forgot to send. But it's not too late to react.

Hello all,
"Small" message launched amid the bustle of preparations for New Year!
message ... Little short survey!
Quite a few initiatives have been launched in cettte season and hope to see the point their noses in the new year looming ahead ...
To better prepare for these projects I need a little back from you ... your motivation, your desires, your remarks ...
For 2011, I set up in St. Simon, two new AMAP
- A lamb AMAP
- AMAP A dairy
distributions that would take place on Tuesday evening at our dear utopian in the stars ... 44b Road of Monlong
AMAP lamb
"So much for the little history on our farm. We moved to
Mirepoix 4 years ago with a small flock of sheep meat. The following year, we started to make a community garden that turned into 1ha of gardening (sale to a purchasing group in the form of baskets), partly animal traction.
Regarding livestock, while waiting to make cheese (problem connecting to the drinking water network), it is meat. That's why our herd is mixed, goats, sheep milk (manech black head and red head are hardy breeds of Basque country) and sheep meat (Tarascon which are typical of Ariège).
We just built a barn, ready just in time to host animals that have begun to put down this week. "
Samuel and Virginia are young producers bio installed around Pamiers we propose as a first step of the lamb. Some of you have already taken advantage of their production at a first direct sale this month ... Reminder:
- Lamb or half lamb at 12 € / kg ( lamb about 15kg)
- merguez sausage and lamb at 12 € / kg (meat lamb / goat)
- pieces packed in vacuum or 'costs' (11.5 € / kg)
- cut pieces (necklace, chop, square, offal) or choice (whole / in roast / slices to the leg and shoulder)
mode AMAP operation has not yet been established but one can imagine a commitment on two or three deliveries a year. All that remains to be defined with the network and producers.
AMAP dairy
The milk crisis of 2010 has unfortunately helped put back on the front of the stage, the pressures that keep the big brands and major centers distributions on the milk producers (and farmers in general) ... A new alarm bells that still makes us little more aware of the need to cut these large networks of predation that destroy our agriculture, our land and our farmers! ... Sorry ... I just turn me on;))
In any case, is driven by a rebellious and dynamic alternative that I came into contact with Marie-Therese and Bert-Jan farmers and Storms Dairy stationed since 2005 at Cérizols (Ariege) in the beautiful hills of small Pyrenees 25 km from St Girons.
"They have a herd of thirty cows dairy breed Brown Swiss" and "Monbéliarde. They are mostly fed on grass and also of hay and a little cornmeal or triticale and field beans. They do not give antibiotics to their animals but strengthen their immune system by natural cures.
At the farm, Marie-Therese manufactures tommes Pyrenees raw milk that requires at least 4 months of ripening, and beaten curd and yoghurt drinks.
They market their produce to markets Cazères and St. Croix Volvestre and via the AMAP Pamiers. "
I am meeting in January to develop this project. As an indication, that's what they offer: €
Milk 1 liter
Yogurt € 2 per liter
Cheese White 3 € pot 750g
Tomme € 14 per kg
Tomme fenugreek € 14 kg
can consider fortnightly distributions (one distribution per fortnight - the best in my opinion) or monthly (one distribution per month).
The project becomes viable for producers from 200 € per delivery.

If you are interested in these projects, thank you for letting me know by reply to this email ... it obviously does not commit you to anything, then I can just get a feel "of the existing volume "... The idea is to bring together new people around these dynamics also via AMAP Lardenne and Pradettes recess and through people outside.
Thanks in advance for your return
And good Christmas and New Year to all!
