Let me get back to you all to give you information on advanced AMAP dairy products.
Indeed, January 15, I went to visit Marie Therese and Bert Jan's side of CERIZOLS to discuss the mounting of this project.
A promising first contact with a couple very welcoming and very friendly, all in a beautiful setting, surrounded by cows and hills ariƩgeois!
So we started drawing the outlines of this future AMAP, several ideas in mind ... We will therefore need your help to polish this project ...
I am going to summarize all this:
- First, before launching the CSA itself, Marie Therese and Bert January intend to visit us on Tuesday, 15/02 at Martine (44b Monlong path) between 18:00 and 19:30 to meet you, to present their products at a tasting and talk with you about their adventure and their ariƩgeois AMAP project ...
- Regarding their products
| Rate | Conservation |
Milk | 1 € / liter | raw: 3-4j (Notice veto 2j) / cooked: +4 j |
yogurt (pasteurized) | 2 € / liter | 2-3 weeks |
quark | 3 € / 750g | 1 week |
Tomme | € 14 / kg (250g mini hand.) | - |
Tomme fenugreek | € 14 / kg (250g mini hand.) | - |
It also offers jam jars of milk and chocolate (fantastic!) to be integrated into the basket or "out basket" that is to say when offered for sale direct distributions. (Should we reflect a little on this point) ... I had the chance to taste a little of all these products ... Excellent! A real pleasure to rediscover the real taste of cow's milk! We shall revisit the 15/02;))
- In terms of the contract (based on their experience with the AMAP Pamiers)
o A fixed basket throughout the engagement, of course it helps producers better anticipate their need during the year and it was obvious to us to begin the adventure in the best conditions.
o Frequency distributions : 2 options available to us every 15 days or every month ... It seems to me that a fortnight is better suited to this type of goods (including milk!). If necessary we can also imagine a period of "hot" with monthly distributions ...
o Time commitment: A commitment a year is obviously ideal for producers. An alternative solution could be: a 6-month commitment with monthly distributions to launch the project and 1 year commitment on distributions by half when everything will roll ...
o launch date AMAP : Beginning in April 2011 when we gathered enough control (mini € 200 / supplies for the operation to be viable for producers)
o Distribution in August : From experience, farmers prefer to ask the amapiens: Do we maintain the distribution of August? For me, no worries especially because the distributions continue gardening as in August.
to gather your views on this assembly project, I posted a little picture that I invite you to complete as I do for my part ...
By copy of this email, I passed a brochure presenting the farm of Maria Theresa and Bert Jan ...
Feel free to spread this message around you, if you know anyone might be interested!
AMAP is obviously open to everyone!
Lots of good things for this week and cold very soon
Roman
